The Preview pane shows what the original or customized message script
looks like when sample data is used to format an output email message.Figure 1. Preview pane
Select an email template from the message grid to display the email template script.
To open the Preview pane, click the Preview tab. A preview of the email template displays using a
set of sample data.
Note: Sample data is generated by the
object you are editing, for example, a Visit Site email template you are
editing in the Visit Site Email Templates tab. Sample data is not the same
as real-world data. Before using a custom email template, review how the
changes you make to the script work in realistic scenarios.
To update the Preview pane with new changes made in the text or
HTML editor, click the Refresh
button.
To save your changes, enter a name for the custom template in
the Name field of the Email Templates tab.
Enter a description of the custom
template in the Description tab.
Note: If you try to save the template
without giving it a name, an error notification apears and you cannot save
the changes.
Click Save and Close to
save your custom template.
Optional: Click Create Copy to
create a copy of your custom template.
Note: The Save and Close and Create Copy
buttons appear in the Visit Site Editor Email Templates tab and in the
Access Request Site Email Templates tab. The Email Templates user interface
is used in both the Visit Site Editor and Access Request Site Editor
applications. For more information, see Visit Site Editor Email Templates tab and Access Request Site Email Templates tab.
